Astronomy 2002 - Eastern Australian Edition

What are the Quasar Publishing Yearbooks and what can they do for me?

Quasar Publishing has been producing these annual publications since 1991. In fact the current format has been used since 1994 (if it's not broken - don't fix it!). These yearbooks are written by Australians for Australians.

There are 2 editions. One is a 144-page two colour book for the eastern Australian states (covering all but W.A.) and the other a 112-page black and white Western Australian edition. The Eastern book is available through various book, telescope and Australian Geographic shops. They can also be ordered directly from Quasar Publishing. Those ordering directly from Quasar will also get a letter once a year announcing the availability of the next edition and an order form. Our mailing list is confidential and is shared with nobody ie. No junk mail will be generated from a Quasar database.

This yearbook has been designed for anyone who looks at the night sky whether they are using just their eyes, a pair of binoculars or a telescope. The book has something for everyone from the basic novice up to the advanced amateur astronomer. This includes those with a casual interest who might just want to know, "what is that bright star next to the Moon?"

This book and a good planisphere are powerful tools for those first learning their way around the sky. For a description of some of the features offered by the book see Getting Started with the Yearbook.

For previous editions still available, see the order page for pricing.
